What a finale: while summer was already spreading in the Austrian valleys at the weekend, the ski season in Ischgl was still going strong - until 1 May. US megastar Mariah Carey stormed the stage on the Idalp at the legendary Top of the Mountain Concert on 30 April and thrilled 14,000 winter sports fans. With hits such as "Hero", "My All" and "Heartbreaker", the 42-year-old pop and R&B singer made for an unforgettable end to the season with her five-octave power voice. But it wasn't just Mariah Carey who had a perfect day in the bright sunshine: skiers took advantage of the good piste conditions at over 2,300 metres above sea level in the morning to celebrate at the open-air concert in the middle of the ski resort from 1 pm.
Ischgl came up with something very special for Mariah Carey's twins for their birthday: Specially made lederhosen and a dirndl were presented to Mariah at the press conference.
