746: Medrigalm-Tour

Medium-difficulty cycle route from See Medrijochbahn valley station to Medrigalm and back to See again

Training tour on the local mountain in See. The route follows a short stretch along the main road towards Ischgl before turning off to the left and continuing along an asphalt track uphill to the districts of Klaus and Maierhof. The forest road starts out from the last houses and follows a gentle incline and twists and turns through the forests. After a little over 8 km, you come the mountain station of the Medrigjochbahn cable car at the Medrigalm lodge. Recharge your batteries with a refreshment break, enjoy the views or simply get changed and then head back downhill. Or how about a detour to the Ascherhütte lodge? Whatever you want to do! After a short climb, the descent runs down through the Istalanztal valley and through the Stielwald forest back down to See.

The autoroute (A12 (westbound) or A14 (eastbound)) leads you to the Arlbergschnellstraße (S 16). At the exit for Pians, turn onto the Paznauntalstraße (B 188) and follow its course into the Paznaun.

With the railway station in Landeck, the Paznaun is optimally connected to the Austrian train network. From Landeck-Zams station, only a short bus ride separates you from the Paznaun. Every half hour, line bus 260 runs from there through the valley. Bus stop: See Dorf/Bergbahn
