Description
One of the routes with the most beautiful landscapes. It is only suitable for excellent bikers with its length and high altitude difference. The 79.7 km marathon route is an enormous challenge with over 2,000 m of altitude to complete. First the route follows the Fimbatal valley along to the Heidelberger Hütte lodge which is on Swiss soil. The ascent to the Fimbap Pass then follows with sections where you may have to push and carry your bike. But you will be rewarded with fantastic views. The next section leads downhill again to Ramosch and Finstermünz. This is followed by a length ascent to Ravaisch and from here via the Twinliner cable car to the Alp Trider Sattel. You can cycle further along the Trider Sattel (page 38) and take the chair lift up to the Flimjochbahn mountain station. The Velill downhill section provides a wonderful trail-like feeling. Then the last section follows a comfortable forest road. Make sure you take a light with you: unlit tunnel between Finstermünz and Laret.
