Paznauner Taja Huettentreff Nr. 7075

An asphalt endurance route into the Fimbatal valley. Possibility of stopping off for a refreshment break at the Paznauner Taja. This mountain biking route is ideal for an endurance training session. The entire route follows an asphalt road. The initial ascent is fairly difficult and can push bikers to their limits. If you wish to avoid this steep section, you can instead take the Fimbabahn or Silvrettabahn cable car up to the middle station (check operating hours). The ascent from here is less extreme. The valley then widens and the landscape becomes more beautiful. There is the opportunity to take a break at the Schwarzwassersee lake or at the neighbouring Pardatscher- See lake. The road runs along the Fimbabach for 2 km to the clear turnoff to the Paznauner Taja lodge. The last section to the lodge follows twists and turns. The return journey either follows the same route or you can take the lively Paznauner Taja Trail (page 46).

The autoroute (A12 (westbound) or A14 (eastbound)) leads you to the Arlbergschnellstraße (S 16). At the exit for Pians, turn onto the Paznauntalstraße (B 188) and follow its course into the Paznaun.

With the railway station in Landeck, the Paznaun is optimally connected to the Austrian train network. From Landeck-Zams station, only a short bus ride separates you from the Paznaun. Every half hour, line bus 260 runs from there through the valley. Bus stop: Ischgl Silvrettabahn
