Intro
Ein moderner Sportklettersteig im alpinen Bereich, im Urgestein, bestens gesichert.
Er ist für Kinder und Jugendliche ab 12 Jahren, bei entsprechender Sicherung, geeignet.
Notausstieg: Abbruch im ersten Drittel möglich.
Description
A modern sports via ferrata in alpine terrain, in primary rock, optimally secured.
Suitable only for children aged 12 and upwards, with appropriate securing.
Emergency exit: Only possible in the first third.
Descent:
Ca. 60 minutes along the path, 2 short passages are pathless, further descent to the Birkhahnbahn or to the Kopssee. The descent is alpine and partly steep, appropriate experience is necessary. From the summit cross you follow the via ferrata for a short bit along the ridge and then along the trail tracks and the short pathless passages down. Orientate yourself along the stone piles (stone dwarves/stone manikins).
At the end of the rope, a small part along the ridge and then through rocky terrain to a saddle, a short part down to the south, then traverse the grassy slope to the next saddle. On the other side of the ridge leads a path to the junction to the via ferrata.
Arrival
Journey via Tyrol:
On the motorway A12 until Landeck and then on the state road B188 through the Paznaun Valley to Galtür. Ca. 2 km behind Galtür is the hamlet of Wirl - park here at the bottom station of the Birkhahnbahn.
Alternatively, you can ascend by foot (ca. 30 minutes longer) if you follow the street towards Bielerhöhe and shortly before the toll station you go right to the Kops-Speicher. Ca. 2 km after the turn you see a gravel path branching off to the left.
With public transportation take the train (ÖBB) to Landeck and further with the bus (line 4240) to Galtür. (Bus stop: Galtür Wirl)
Journey via Vorarlberg (only in summer possible):
On the motorway A14 until Bludenz and the on the state road B188 via Schruns (Montafon Valley) until Partenen. Further over the Silvretta Hochalpenstraße (Silvretta high alpine road) - Bielerhöhe until Galtür.
With public transportation take the train (ÖBB) via Bludenz to the terminal station in Schruns and then further with the bus (line 85) to Galtur. (Bus stop: Galtür Wirl)
Ascent:
Go up with the Birkhahnbahn. From the mountain station, you follow the marked trail towards Kops Stausee and Breitspitze. In the area of the mountain station of the T-bar lift, you turn left along a path with the sign "Klettersteig" (via ferrata). Follow it almost until below the rocks. At ca. 2250m (N46 57.561 E10 07.827) the path to the via ferrata goes left. Then you traverse along the rock face to the entry point.

Public transport
Mit dem Bahnhof in Landeck ist das Paznaun bestens an das österreichische Zugnetz angebunden. Vom Bahnhof Landeck-Zams trennt Sie nur noch eine kurze Busfahrt vom Paznaun. Stündlich verkehrt von dort der Linienbus 260 in Richtung Galtür.
