11. Winterwanderweg Ischgl-Mathon

Easy hike from Ischgl to Mathon

This 6 km long winter hiking trail can be combined with the winter hiking trail from Ischgl. Alternatively, take the bus to the entry point. The route immediately starts off with a short climb, but then levels out again and continues on the gallery and then close to the forest to Mathon. When exiting the village, cross the Valzur stream and walk to the wildlife park located below.

Alternatively, hike along the now opposite side of Trisanna stream back to Ischgl. The route proceeds almost exclusively level along the banks back to the starting point. Of course, the route can also be hiked in the opposite direction.
 

The autoroute (A12 (westbound) or A14 (eastbound)) leads you to the Arlbergschnellstraße (S 16). At the exit for Pians, turn onto the Paznauntalstraße (B 188) and follow its course into the Paznaun.

With the railway station in Landeck, the Paznaun is optimally connected to the Austrian train network. From Landeck-Zams station, only a short bus ride separates you from the Paznaun. Every half hour, line bus 260 runs from there through the valley. Bus stop: Ulrichshof
