7091: Durrichalpe Tour

Medium difficulty Durrichalpe Tour

A circuit which is not excessively challenging and leads to one of the most beautiful spots in Paznaun. From the centre in Kappl, the route initially runs along a narrow asphalt road towards the district of Oberhaus and after 2.4 km, a gravel road heads up to the Durrichalpe lodge. From here, it follows a gentle ascent around several twists and turns through a forest (not overly dense), reaching the Durrichalpe after 6 km with its unique moorland landscape beneath the Alpine lodges. Panoramic views on one side and fascinating wetland vegetation on the other make this a truly exceptional place which is guaranteed to leave a lasting impression. This is the highest point on the tour at 1,848 m and from here you can glide down on the other side until you come to the asphalt road again after 10 km in total which takes you along a leisurely section back to the start.

Especially suitable for e-bikes!

The autoroute (A12 (westbound) or A14 (eastbound)) leads you to the Arlbergschnellstraße (S 16). At the exit for Pians, turn onto the Paznauntalstraße (B 188) and follow its course into the Paznaun.

With the railway station in Landeck, the Paznaun is optimally connected to the Austrian train network. From Landeck-Zams station, only a short bus ride separates you from the Paznaun. Every half hour, line bus 260 runs from there through the valley. Bus stop: Kappl Dorf
